Tory Baker is entering her third full year of teaching Art Education and her second year at Castle Rock Middle School.

Tory was raised in Pleasantville, New York, a small community just north of New York City.  After graduating high school Tory went on to study the Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design, in Savannah Georgia and then went on to finish her studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.  Tory received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Pratt Institute in 2006.

After college Tory found her way into the culinary world.  She received a certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts in 2008 from the Culinary Institute of America.  From there she found her way to Colorado where she worked in small bakeries decorating cakes, and creating pastries.  In 2009 Tory became the Pastry Chef at the Denver Country Club.

In 2012 Tory felt something was missing in her life, and she needed to go a different path.  She received her teaching licensure in Art Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver, in 2014.

Along with teaching Tory continues to work in the field of photography.  She began her photography business Tory Baker Photography in 2014 after the birth of her son Hudson.  Her photography business focuses on natural light portraiture of newborn, baby&child, family, and seniors.

Tory is very excited about her future of teaching and creating art with the students of Castle Rock Middle School.
